Our Story

It all started in 2011 when Matthew Aaron decided to startup a podcast with hopes it would help get his foot in the door of show business, needless to say it's paid off in a big way. Broadcasting live from his parents basement in suburban Chicago (Downers Grove to be exact), Matthew, along with the very unique cast of characters he calls his friends, interviewed some of the most talented people in the entertainment business, from Gary Sinise, Chazz Palminteri & Frank Grillo to Adam McKay, Eli Roth & William Friedkin, quickly racking up 100 live shows in the first year, all from the comfort of home.

In 2012 he packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles where he met and became good friends with the very talented Writer/Director Mike Binder (Indian Summer, The Upside of Anger, Reign Over Me) who owned a restaurant at the time on the Sunset Strip, Mike took Matt under his wing and encouraged him and The Matthew Aaron Show to set up shop inside the restaurant where they broadcasted live once a week being joined in person by the likes of Joe Carnahan, Betsy Brandt, Ken Marino, Missi Pyle & Sean Astin who hilariously taught Matt how to use Twitter live on the air.

In 2013 after Mike Binder decided to sell his restaurant and return to writing and directing films (his new film Black or White starring Kevin Costner it currently available of DVD/Blu-ray) Matt and The Matthew Aaron Show headed to Burbank at the request of another local Chicago boy who made good, actor Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds, The Godfather: Part III,) who owns a restaurant with his wife called “Taste Chicago.” Broadcasting weekly they have been joined in person by the likes of Scott Aukerman, Brie Larson, Tim Conway and Paul Sorvino who belted out some opera in the middle of his interview.

The Matthew Aaron Show remains extremely popular, boasts a huge worldwide audience with listeners is all 50 States, 73 Countries (very popular in Kosovo) and hundreds of thousands of subscribers on iTunes. In 2012 they were nominated for “Best Entertainment Podcast” going head to head with rival Kevin Smith's Smodcast, they lost but so did Kevin Smith so they were fine with it.

The Matthew Aaron show has been positively mentioned twice in the Cheers & Jeers section of TV Guide and once more in TV Guide Magazine, as well as multiple Entertainment News websites including, MSN, JoBlo, Dark Horizons, AOL, The Huffington Post, Yahoo, and countless others.
